Hurrican Irene
this was a crazy weekend. Lisa and I spent all day saterday preping for the hurrican. I got the gen preped, we cleaned out the vehicles I case we needed to evac, I prepped the sump pump' I even went to my motherinlaws and clean out her gutters for her. Then we hunkered down and waited for the hurrican. it kinda seemed bleh. Sunday morning came from our house it seemed like all we got was rain and some wind. we did lse power for about an hour around noon giving me a chance to see how well my gen does powering the fridge freezer and a few other things... it worked great and I'm glad I made the purchase a few years ago. later in the afternoon lisa and I took a quick drive to see if she could get a coffee. this is when we saw how badly the storm had hit others... just 50 yards from our house power lines where down and all the houses behind ours on wilder St were without power. we heard someone else's generator running. as we kept going all we saw was devistated trees. you couldn't go 50 yards without seeing something down, broke, or crushed by damaged trees. our house, yard, basement, everything seemed untouched by this storm. I hope everyone else faired the same

Family Ties
Now that im older and met the great family that welcomed into their own when i married my wife, i still find it hard to relate at times.
Today is an example, its the fourth anniversary of my farther-in-laws death due to cancer. Once again find my self confused by my wife and her sisters need to celebrate the date by being sad, depressed and morbid. I might be num but don't get me wrong I know loss of life is a sad thing. I've known loss many times over such as my grandparents before I was even a teen, my mother at a young age from cancer, my brother before his 33rd year. Even the lose of the man they called farther was felt in my heart. But the annual need to return to sadness confuses me. Do they think it honors him for them to be sad. Do they think that's what that man or anyone who has past wants of them?
Let it be know to anyone who reads this. If I ever die and leave behind loved ones to morn me I do not what that. Instead I want people to be thankful I had my time with them and be glad whatever suffering I may have endored has ended.
Joe Mace was a great guy, My time with him was brief and we had our opposing moments but we got past them and had great respect for each other. I've been told many times we have alot in common. So I wonder if he too would ask that after four years the mourning stop and instead just spend the day thinking happy thoughts of the time he was here.
I LOVE MY FAMILY AND I HATE TO SEE THEM SAD!

IVF JOURNEY
Well as some of you may know Parnell and I have been trying to have a little bundle of joy for a few years. It has been a very frustrating and discouraging and heart wrenching few years. But all of these feelings have changed. Back in November I decided to try and get a hold of my fertility doc. Well after messages and more messages left, I received a call back saying that the doctor wanted to see me in her office to discuss more test and blah blah blah. I had enough of the run around and became frustrated, so I looked to find a new fresh set of eyes and ears. On November 19th I meet a new doctor. She was really nice and listened to everything I had to say and when I was done she looked at me and said "wow, you and your hubby have been through hell" She then went on to say that she wasn't going to put me through a battery of test and running around and that she felt the best option would be to do IVF (In-vitro fertilization) and set me up with blood work. She did however want me to go through one test just to make everything down there was looking good and healthy. Below is a list of everything that has happened since that meeting. I truly feel that Dr.Plante is going to be our angel and give us the bundle of joy Parnell and I have longed for so long...

Breathing is overrated
Last winter while exsurting myself while shoveling I experienced the worst couging fit yet where I literly coughed so violently I nearly blacked out. At this point lisa demanded I see a specialist for my breathing problems. Long story short the drs were attament that surgery was required. But I let my fear of hospitals and doubts about time off at work convince me to ignore the need.
A year later and the cold weather has returned to inflame my breathing issues once again and this year seems worse then ever.
With good news possibly coming in the coming months my thoughts on the future have changed. My health and well being and ability to care for my loved ones has become a prority.
To that end earlier this month I had a re-evaluation and once again the dr was amazed that I can even breath at all the way my airways currently are.
In order for me to breath normal ill require three surgerys that decided to have done all at once...
Early to mid feb I will be in the hospital to have my tonsils and atnoids removed and then reconstructive surgery of my nose to correct a severe septum deviation.
Long story shot: they are gonna roto rueter my face to remove all airway blockages so I can finaly breath normally...
Im very scared! But im more afraid of dying in my sleep.
Ill share details of when and where when its all sorted out
But it could be as soon as feb 11th
